Terms and Conditions of Use - JICE Careers

This document describes the terms and conditions on which JICE Careers (the "Company") allows you to access and use the jice-careers.com website (the "Web Site"). By using the Web Site, you (the "User") accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read this page carefully. If you do not accept these terms, do not use this Web Site or its services.

1. Use of Material and Web Site

  • The Company authorizes you to view and download a single copy of the material on the Web Site solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

  • This license is not a sale of any of the owner's rights. You may not rent, lease, sub-license, or transfer any data or rights under this agreement to any third party.

  • You shall not copy or adapt the HTML code created by the Company to generate its pages; it is protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws.

2. User License

By submitting content to any public or non-public area of the Web Site (forums, message boards, or profiles), you grant the Company a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute such content worldwide. You warrant that you own all rights to the content you post and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights.

3. Web Site Security Rules

Users are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the Web Site, including:

  • Accessing data not intended for the user or logging into unauthorized accounts.

  • Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the system or network.

  • Interfering with service via viruses, overloading, "flooding," "spamming," or "crashing."

  • Forging any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any email.

4. Specific Prohibited Uses

The Web Site may be used only for lawful purposes by individuals seeking employment and employers seeking employees. The Company specifically prohibits:

  • Posting incomplete, false, or inaccurate biographical information.

  • Impersonating any person or entity or misrepresenting your affiliation.

  • Posting "pyramid schemes," "club memberships," or business opportunities that require upfront payments or recruitment of others.

  • Using any engine, software, or tool (including spiders and robots) to navigate or search the Web Site other than the provided search tools and standard third-party browsers.

  • Posting content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, or racially/ethnically offensive.

5. User Information

During registration, you will provide the Company with certain information, including a valid email address. While the Company may disclose aggregate, anonymous data to third parties, it will not disclose your name, address, or telephone number without your prior consent, except as required by law or legal proceedings.

6. Monitoring and Termination

The Company acts as a passive conduit and has no obligation to screen user-submitted material. However, the Company reserves the right to:

  • Investigate allegations of non-conformance with these terms.

  • Remove communications that are abusive, illegal, or disruptive.

  • Expel users and prevent further access for violating these Terms and Conditions.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • JICE Careers acts as a venue for employers and candidates and does not screen or censor the listings. We are not involved in the actual transaction between parties.

  • The Company is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of the jobs or resumes posted, nor the truth or accuracy of the listings.

  • THE WEB SITE AND MATERIAL ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS. THE COMPANY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

  • In no event shall the Company be liable for any damages (including lost profits or data) resulting from the use or inability to use the Web Site.

8. Registration and Password

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and password. You are liable for all activities that occur under your account, whether authorized by you or not.

9. Governing Law

In the event of any disputes, the applicable law shall be the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (or the specific jurisdiction relevant to the headquarters of JICE Careers).

10. Equitable Relief

You acknowledge that a breach of these terms may cause irreparable harm to the Company. Therefore, in addition to monetary damages, the Company shall be entitled to equitable relief (such as injunctions) in the event of a breach by you.
